This could be a key development of the hydrogen community with the new coating’s able to improve the efficiency and durability of PEM water electrolysers – a key way in which to produce vast quantities of hydrogen for the market.

In doing so, the technology is reducing the price of hydrogen production and thus is supporting the acceleration of adoption in the market.

David Hodgson, Managing Director of TFP Hydrogen Products, said, “The incorporation of this specialised technology in Schenectady as well as the UK is an important step in the growth of TFP Hydrogen.

“It will provide the necessary capacity increase to respond to the increasing demand for our materials, as well as enabling us to support our North American customers’ requirements locally.”
