Announced today (May 23), Deakin’s former position of Major General in the British Army as Chief of Staff at a NATO headquarters in Italy, overseeing NATO operations across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, is hoped to aid Logan Energy scale its response to hydrogen demands at pace.  

 Logan Energy design, install and maintain, integrated hydrogen energy systems, which aim to help businesses achieve carbon reduction targets, contributing to wider Net Zero goals. 

 Deakin said, “I am passionate about combatting climate change, so was keen to find a position in renewable energy that suited my skillset after my military career.  

“I will guide the company as it moves up a gear and will enable it to meet the demand for our services which increases year on year.  

 “The workforce has doubled in strength in the last year alone and will continue to grow significantly in size over the next 5 years, bringing 100 new renewable energy jobs to East Lothian, Scotland and the UK.” 

 The appointment of Deakin comes as Logan Energy readies to expand its offering across the UK and abroad, with new facilities at its Wallyford headquarters in East Lothian, Scotland.
