The duo on Friday (Oct 8) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the effort that will also explore additional hydrogen business opportunities and develop tangible products.

Enthusiastic about the partnership, Itochu said the initiative will be promoted through Nel’s nearly 100 years of experience in the hydrogen industry and its international network.

As well as working among themselves, Nel and Itochu will also evaluate and explore each hydrogen project and business opportunity with Osaka Gas.

The above all fits into Itochu’s Enhance our contribution to and engagement with SDGs policy, through which it aims to support decarbonised society.

No further details on the partnership were unveiled.
