Dubbed, Fyuriant, the model is powered by two 120kW PRISMA fuel cell systems, developed by Shanghai-based REFIRE technologies, providing a milestone for the two companies who hope to usher in a new era of clean road freight transport.

The new truck is equipped with a fuel tank which can carry 43kg of compressed hydrogen, with the truck offering a range of over 400km, with a refuelling time of less than 15 minutes, the company said.

H2 View understands, Clean Logistics hopes to deliver up to 450 of the vehicles per year by the end of 2023.

The Fyuriant project was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport, as part of the Federal Government’s Mobility and Fuel Strategy (MFS), with a total of €3.3m ($3.49m).

Dirk Graszt, Managing Director of Clean Logistics, said, “We are very happy to present our Fyuriant today. Our buses and trucks have been well received in the industry.

“REFIRE is a key partner of Clean Logistics and their highly innovative and efficient PRISMA fuel cell system has enabled us to succeed as a key component of our products.”

In 2021, Clean Logistics launched its converted hydrogen-powered bus which hosted REFIRE’s PRISMA fuel cell system.

Audrey Ma, Vice-President of Business Development at REFIRE, commented, “It is a privilege that Fyuriant is making its debut today and showing the world how competitive it is in terms of driving performance.

“We are genuinely grateful to have been selected as Clean Logistics’ product and partner of choice, and we look forward to further supporting their success in the European zero-emission commercial vehicle markets.
