Signed on Wednesday (Oct 13), the agreement will aim to support the development of hydrogen energy in addition to decarbonisation of industry and transport on the basis of natural gas.

This will accelerate the advancement of natural gas-based technologies in the area of hydrogen as well as create pilot projects to showcase the capabilities of hydrogen technology.

Gazprom will now draw up a roadmap and submit it to the Russian Government for approval with the roadmap set to outline the target indicators of technological development and the corresponding action plan.
