Founded at COP21, H2 View previously said that the main role of the EU-Catalyst Partnership is to advance partnerships on climate technologies with hydrogen identified as one of the key pillars to progress to a clean energy world.

The partnership could mobilise up to €820m ($1bn) between 2022 and 2026 to deploy technologies that contribute to the European Green Deal ambitions and the EU’s 2030 climate targets.

Mariya Gabriel, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth for the European Commission, said, “With the EU-Catalyst partnership we want to make a daring leap towards achieving our climate goals.

“We need technological revolution on a global scale, large investments, more financial risk taking and more game-changing innovations, as well as policies that support public-private partnerships across the globe.”
