Last Friday (May 6), Norwegian Hydrogen AS, FirstElement Fuel Inc. and Mitsui & Co, announced the companies would be working together to accelerate the expansion of the hydrogen network across the entire Nordic region.

Norwegian Hydrogen will be undertaking the building and operating of the production facilities, as well as constructing a network of refuelling stations for heavy duty vehicles and maritime customers.

H2 View understands the companies will be working to ensure access to zero-emission hydrogen for a range of sectors such as freight trains, constriction, mining, and bio e-fuel production.

California-based First Element Fuel owns and operates the 36-station True Zero Hydrogen Network, ‘the largest combined hydrogen station network in the world’, on the US West Coast, which is set to expand to 55 stations by the end of 2023.
